And it’s working.
You think you’re too much and you’re too confused. Scattered and spread thin.
And that’s how it’s working.
You think there is something wrong with you. So it’s definitely working.
You think you’re feeding off of content but it’s feeding on you.
There’s content for mothers who are tired of working full time jobs. And millenials wanting to quit and live on a farm.
There’s life coaches and the hidden wisdom of letting go and starting over.
Pilates instructors telling you what perfection can look like. A workout at 10am with an iced matcha.
And all that is just my feed. And there’s a reason it’s called feed, now I see.
And then everything gets confusing. A bit dark, even.
It’s harder to notice at some points. It creates this feeling rising to the surface like you need to do something else with your life, maybe.
And you start to see yourself like a person who has never finished anything. Or started something.
Like all these things and versions of yourself you wanted to become but never managed to or had the time for.
All this to replace the very natural feeling of being unfinished.
Of being a living, learning person who is not meant to be everything or one thing.
But rather maybe a collection of all that could be or all that was.
And while they keep trying to make an algorithm not just for you but of you, just be unfinished.
Be confusing and scattered. Be everything all at once.
Let your explore page look like it belongs to five different people.
Maybe that’s the point.
Maybe a life that can’t be neatly figured out is the most human thing left.
